NCJW confronts today’s most urgent social and economic challenges facing women, children, and families. Powered by the Jewish imperative to ensure dignity for all, we impact policy, advocate for justice, and support the community. Your voice has never been more essential and our voices together make a meaningful difference in the world.
The Diversity Coalition of Morris County, of which NCJW, West Morris is a founding partner, has learned how to be flexible. We moved from the Green to virtual during Covid. “Fire is like magic. It has magical power,” said Carol Losos, executive director of GlassRoots: Newark Glass Arts Center, and our special guest speaker at the Personal Giving Thank-You Brunch, held in May. The Personal Giving Campaign was co-chaired by Dorothy Cohen and Anne Gorman.
Rabbi Steven Bayar will kick off our 2023-2024 Clergy Series, coordinated by Ilene Dorf Manahan and Melanie Levitan. His three-part series, on “Jewish Cultures in the United States: In Common and Divided,” is set for 2 p.m. on Thursdays, Sept. 28, Oct. 5 and Oct. 12. (PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE FROM OUR USUAL TIME.)
