Many of our members participate in the Our Jewish World Clergy Series programs, coordinated by Ilene Dorf Manahan and Melanie Levitan, as well as our Back 2 School Store, chaired by Kim Ganz, Kay Salzman, Karen Secular and Melanie Levitan. And we’re delighted that so many of you have helped to make these important programs so successful.

We offer another wonderful program, as well, that you might not have thought about joining up to this point: our monthly Book Club, headed by Sharon Feigin.

For book lovers, this is a marvelous monthly gathering of fellow reading aficionados who choose which books to read based on their latest literary finds. The Book Club meets at Anthony & Sons, 20 Luger Road, in Denville (generally on the third Wednesday of the month at 1 p.m.), where we can grab a nosh before delving into the book of the month.

Among upcoming titles being read by Book Club members are The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett (11/20); Brooklyn by Colm Toibin (12/18); and A Tree Grows in Brooklyn (1/15), a book many of us remember reading as young people.

Some of us just make a point of reading the books our Book Club selects to discuss and don’t come to the meetings. That’s fine. But you might enjoy the lively conversation and camaraderie generated at the Book Club. All are welcome!
