“Fire is like magic. It has magical power,” said Carol Losos, executive director of GlassRoots: Newark Glass Arts Center, and our special guest speaker at the Personal Giving Thank-You Brunch, held in May. The Personal Giving Campaign was co-chaired by Dorothy Cohen and Anne Gorman.
Our Gorgeous Chuppah
Our exquisite quilted chuppah, made by our members, was used in two weddings in late spring. Dorothy & Irv Cohen led the chuppah setup and breakdown crew both times—hats off to them!—and Karen Secular and her husband Doron Grosman also helped with chuppah setup at one of the weddings.

Attorney and author Felicia Farber will be the special guest speaker at the National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW), West Morris Section’s 2021 Personal Giving Thank-You Schmooze & Author Talk on Sunday, June 6, at 10 a.m., via Zoom. The event is open to all donors to our Personal Giving campaign.

Everyone had a great time at our Latke Challenge & Hanukkah Bazaar, held at the lovely home of Sharon & Les Feigin. Latke judges Ilene Dorf Manahan and Donna Gross sampled all the latke offerings. Results? A tie! EXCELLENCE from all entrants!

Female Torah Scribe Shares Secrets of Her Art with Our Personal Giving Donors
Linda Coppleson, one of only about half a dozen female scribes in the world who are actively engaged in Torah writing, shared the secrets of writing a Torah with donors to our Personal Giving Campaign.
